The island is 166 square miles in size, and is the most easterly of the Caribbean islands, with a population of approximately 270,000. It is a former British colony which became independent in 1966 and is a member of the Commonwealth. The island’s politically stable government has established an environment conducive to attracting and benefiting international investors and businesses.
